Research
LAPSO supports research projects related to obtaining academic degrees (e.g. Master’s, PhD), to CIS-Iscte, and funded by external entities (e.g. FCT, BIAL). The laboratory team ensures the development and optimization of projects with advice on experimental design and programming, data collection and the acquisition of appropriate materials for the research.

Technical Support
LAPSO manages laboratory facilities, research resources and equipment, and consumables to support research. To request space, equipment or materials, please contact LAPSO’s administrative staff.
LAPSO’s scientific manager (Sofia Frade) supports the programming of experimental tasks and the processing of data from studies carried out or promoted by LAPSO. To schedule a support meeting, please contact our scientific manager at lapso@iscte-iul.pt.
Training
LAPSO promotes advanced training courses, particularly on research design, data processing and data collection techniques. These courses are aimed at the Iscte community and are publicized through mailing lists and Iscte’s Weekly Agenda of R&D Events.

OUTREACH ACTIVITIES
LAPSO promotes initiatives to bring people closer to science, including study visits by secondary school students, other visitors, and open-days. These activities aim to provide contact with the daily life of a research laboratory, its facilities, and methodologies, experimenting with some of the research methods and techniques. These activities are customized according to the objectives of the visit and may include demonstrations of studies or data collection techniques, carrying out experimental tasks, and presentations of research results carried out at LAPSO.
